A set of 6 sterling silver bladed butter knives by Mappin & Webb, blades fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1926. In later presentation case. No monograms. All good with some use marks, one blade has some scratches to its tip. Note that there are no hallmarks to the handles, just a registration number. Case has some marks to lid. Knives weigh 175g (they will have filled handles). Total weight including case is 492g. GBP99.99

This is one of the best condition sets we have ever come across for its age, absolutely splendid! 12 pairs of dessert knives and forks with beautifully carved mother of pearl handles and close plated (silver on steel) uppers. Unmarked silver ferrules. The case even has its original key. All gleaming silver, plating exceptional for age with most pieces fine and just the odd extremely minor spot of plate loss to a blade edge. Other than one knife handle having a smoothed shallow chip to front face, the handles are absolutely perfect. Case is fine with minor marks and slight crackling to the lid veneer and some scratches to the brass shield. Has key, lock is fine. GBP239.99

A lovely set of 6 sterling silver (both handle and blade) shorter length dessert (tea size) knives by Moses Brent fully hallmarked for London 1806. Small handle monogram of ‘MK’. Generally very good for age with some surface marks and minor knocks to handles. One has a historical silver solder repair to its top (hilt) end of handle on one side. Some minor gaps.
