ANTIQUE CASED SET OF 12 APOSTLE SPOONS – CAST SILVER PROBABLY HANAU WHITE METAL Item #99468
A gorgeous set of 12 cast silver apostle spoons in original fitted case. Each spoon is marked to rear of bowl, various marks all of which are a bit undecipherable but they have the look of Hanau pseudo marks. Case looks to date c. 1870 or so, tooled Moroccan leather. Sold as ‘White Metal’ as we cant firmly ascribe them. Spoons all fine, there are slight traces of gilt wash in places. Case has some scuffs and minor losses to the covering at underside. Total spoon weight is 230g. Cased weight is 532g. GBP199.99
